Free Apps roundup for July 3rd, 2009

A slow week yet again on the App Store. But never fear, underdog I’m still here, digging up some goodies for you to download. Actually, I found a fairly exciting app for anyone who is jealous of Beejive IM’s functionality, but not its price tag.
- eBuddy - The free app of the week for this week, in my opinion. It’s the answer to all of your IMing needs. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves; it’s not Beejive IM, but it is free. It has support for all the major services, including MSN, Yahoo, AIM (free SMS), ICQ, Gtalk, and Facebook, and it lets you log in to multiple accounts (even on the same service). You can stay online after you exit, and yes, you can even get push notifications for free. If you don’t already have Beejive IM, this is a must download.
- Fast & Furious The Game Test Drive - Spin some tires for free. Seriously, they want you to test drive the Fast & Furious game. You might be tempted to buy, but you also might just move from one demo to another to another to…
- TouchChords Free - If you don’t already know how to play guitar, you need to learn. What better way than to learn on your iPhone? Well, I can think of at least one, but this is a nice way of learning the basics when you’re away from a real six string. You get four sequences in this free version.
- Turnstyle - It’s a virtual mechanical counter. You press the button, it increments upwards. Short and simple.
- Target Practice - This one has been available for almost a month, but it slipped past me. Use your iPhone’s motion sensors to control a gun and, well, practice shooting targets. Looks like fun.
- AppConnect - You have me, but perhaps you need just a little bit more when it comes to tracking apps on the App Store. This app helps you to follow price drops and recommended apps from other users of the app. Price drops are awesome, as many paid apps can be had for free at various times. Check it out.
